Chiloglanis neumanni is found on several places in Lake Malawi however they can be found spread over entire East-Africa. In Lake Malawi they are living in the intermediate zones from rocks to sand but in the surrounding rivers they mainly live between the stones in the cool water from mountain streams that flows into these rivers. The total length they can reach is approximately around the 8 cm. You can best keep these animals in an aquarium where the water is not too warm and between fish that are not too aggressive. Against other inhabitants they are in general tolerant. Probably they feed on algae that they scrape off the rocks. |
